How To Do A Reading
No matter how long you’ve studied Human Design, the most direct way to really learn is to do readings. As a beginner, it’s also quite automatic for most people to want to share Human Design with friends and family. This beginning foray into exploring how the mechanic works and is experienced by others is the perfect opportunity to ask questions and make experiments in your own life with how much you can influence any given outcome.
When you want to integrate this knowledge into your professional life or want to build a practice using Human Design, this takes a deeper recognition of the influence you will have introducing people to this incredibly powerful tool. Unless you are a professional counselor or therapist and have learned these things already, it’s really essential to recognize both the power of the work you’re sharing and your professional limitations.
This workshop will introduce some very classic counseling skills used by astrologers that include the use of an intake and other assessment guides in order to identify how to satisfy the client’s goal in booking an appointment with you. You will receive chart preparation reference and intake form templates, disclaimer templates, follow-up forms to get both testimonials and invaluable feedback to help you hone your style. We will discuss recording equipment and delivery options (CDs, mp3s or videos, uploading versus mailing, etc.), and pricing your services, your value and the value of Human Design.
This class will include a case study chart for each participant. Students will also have the opportunity to trade readings with each other.
One session will be devoted to counseling and listening skills, essential in learning a client-centered approach.
