This reference card is an excellent way to introduce yourself to the Human Design System's nine centers. Each center has a specific set of characteristics that are identifiable, familiar qualities we all carry. It introduces the awareness centers and motors as well.

The body graph with its 9 centers and their connecting channels is central to the Human Design System. It is the form through which a human design is displayed. This card shows basic terms and mechanics and introduces the concept of conditioning.

The Human Design System synthesizes four esoteric practices, beginning with the Tree of Life. The Tree of Life shows 10 spheres interconnecting via pathways or channels and is the most similar to the body graph. This study is only useful for a Human Design student once the person is very comfortable with the structure and mechanics of Human Design. It can add depth to your comprehension of center energy and also to develop an appreciation of the tranforming capability of the pathways.

The chakras are the most similar to the Human Design centers and can clue you into the ancient knowledge of how the hubs of energy are identifiable within the body. This gives the most direct correspondence to the anatomy of the body.

Hexagrams have names. These derive from traditional Chinese ideographs, the characters describing an image formed by the alternation of yin and yang to develop the six line hexagram.

The names here are from Hua-Ching Ni's translation and are corresponded to the center icon for easy reference.
