Zen Human Design education has been honed over two decades and is different from any other Human Design education offered anywhere. It follows the chapters of Human Design Revealed and for quick and optimal learning it is recommended that you follow each step in sequence, even if you think you know basic Human Design already. This is particularly important up to step 4.

The Gestalt of the Body Graph
The body graph is the core of a Human Design chart. How its basic mechanics work is the foundation of your entire knowledge of Human Design. Make it a strong foundation!
You’ll learn that centers are either defined or undefined and combine into five variations of definition types. This, together with the prime mechanic of the two modes, doing and waiting, give a broad overview of any chart.

Centers, Conditioning & Consciousness
Building a solid foundation.
At the very foundation of your understanding of a Human Design chart is the central image, the body graph with its centers. A center is either colored or white, defined or undefined, conditioning or conditioned. How centers connect with each other or not determines whether you are designed to do or designed to wait.
These are not abstract concepts, but intrinsic parts of all our lives. You may not be aware of it, but deep down you know very well how your centers operate. They've been with you your entire life. It's just that you couldn't see the mechanics and didn't have an appropriate language, no tool to reflect and decode the intricacies.
Human Design is that tool and this class lays the proper foundation to use it effectively and beneficially by introducing you to the nine centers in such a way that you will actually recognize how you experience them in your life.

• see where conditioning likely causes defenses and malfunctions
• discover that consciousness determines how agitations experienced through conditioning are handled

The underlying synthesis elements for the Centers are the Tree of Life of the Kabbalah and the Hindu Chakras. While not necessary to understand Human Design, to add depth and broaden your interpretative basis to recognize the energetics of the centers, you could consider adding the two short classes on the Tree of Life and the Chakras corresponding with chapter 10 of Human Design Revealed.

Gates in Centers
Portals of exchange
Centers exchange information and energy through the channels connecting them. The gates in the centers on either side of a channel are the valves controlling this exchange. Each gate is associated with a hexagram of the I Ching, which means that each channel has the particular flavor of the combination and interaction of two specific hexagrams, which in turn nuances the centers.
A fascinating and instructive introduction to the hexagrams as they are associated to centers and channels. The logical next step after the Centers, Conditioning & Consciousness class to add another dimension to your understanding of the centers.

How to use the Pocket Ephemeris
A Simple Guide To Understanding Planetary Transits
A birth chart is just a snapshot of that particular moment. Planetary transits change a design continuously throughout a life.

Knowing how to reference planetary transits is a very important tool for you to understand how everything constantly changes. All these influences can be read in an ephemeris, a table of planetary positions through time.
This lesson enables you to locate important conditioning gates for yourself, how to find them on the astrological wheel and when to expect their bi-annual transit of the Sun and Earth and other conditioning forces. This lesson uses the example of Zen Human Design's 2011 Pocket Ephemeris, but works just fine with any other edition.

Astrology Primer
One of the four elements synthesized in Human Design
When reading a Human Design chart, it is helpful to remember that a hexagram/gate is activated by a planetary body in a section of the zodiac and that the astrological meaning of this is based on thousands of years of observation and experience.
This class shows you the basic mechanisms of astrology and enables you to keep its meanings in mind when reading a Human Design chart.
You will find that you always know so much more when you remember that a hexagram is in an astrological sign and that its opposition and squares are built-in clues to what it means and how it impacts a person.
While this is an advanced class in relation to Human Design, it's a perfect introduction to astrology for anyone.
